Miss Maddy is 10...man have the years flown by | Central Illinois Child Photographers

This beautiful young lady is our little cousin, Madelyn (Maddy). She is the oldest of 4 in her family…your first impression of Maddy when you meet her would probably be; sweet, quiet and shy... 2 of the 3 might be right, but o would you be wrong on the quiet part ;) haha..that might have been true a few years ago, but over the last couple years she has really come out of her shell and is one of the most talkative 10 year olds I have ever met. I had to stop her mid story several times to get her to smile so i could snap a shot...but i don't think it slowed her down at all. She would just pick up right were she left off until i would ask her to smile again.   

Since Maddy has 3 younger siblings, Melis and I typically will pick her up when it is time for her session and take her to get some good ol’ QT  while we hang out and take some portraits.  This time however, it was just Maddy and I (Misty) so we decided to take our time and explore downtown Decatur a little. Maddy had lots of ideas on what she thought would be cute in pictures (you will see a series of her picked poses below) We had such a fun time just walking around talking and, of course, stopping from time to time to snap a few shots.

We ended Maddy’s session in Central Park and, after I knew we had enough shots of her, she wanted to walk around the park and read all the messages on the trees. Decatur Park District was doing their Tree Huggers project so we went from tree to tree reading all of the messages and of course Maddy wanted to pose for a few pictures with the trees… I just love this little girl and it was so nice to just hang out. Who knew a 10 year old could ask so many questions ;) …if you are reading this Miss Maddy…I had a good time hanging out with you and will TRY to answer any and all of your crazy questions anytime ;)
